What a cracking afternoon! nearly 60 members came along to the auction and to listen to our guest Grant Findlay.
Grant started off with his trip to Australia and gave a presentation of the main show there. He told us how he had been so well looked after by his hosts taking him to the war memorial and parliament building in Canberra. He said that he was very impressed with the birds he had to judge but was a little alarmed about the flecking allowed there.
We then had a break and had a buffet brought along by our social secretary Adrian Richards.
Grant finished off his talk with questions from the members.
The auction came next and the auctioneer was Adrian, and what a great display he put on raising £772 for the social fund. Many, many thanks to members who donated birds and equipment. The Sunderland football shirt sold for £92.
